Bachelor's Thesis
Implementation of the Constrained Application Protocol for an Embedded System
Motivation
The Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) is a light-weight RESTful Protocol for the use on wireless sensor nodes. It is easy to translate to HTTP and thereby allows interactive communication of the sensor nodes with the internet. Instead of TCP it uses UDP and offers an end-to-end reliability mechanism of its own. CoAP is an integral part of the Internet of Things.
Work description
The Task is to develop a CoAP module for CometOS. It will be possible to reacht the nodes with a browser through a boarder router. A demonstrational website will show the features of the protocol by loading data through AJAX from the sensor nodes.
