EnHaNSS '12 - Call for Papers

To prolong the life time of battery-powered computing systems, low-power components and protocols have been proposed. But even with low-power technology a battery-powered system has a finite operation time. Power supplies using energy-harvesting devices apparently open the door to unlimited and uninterrupted operation. This requires a dedicated power management that predicts available power budgets and aims at maximizing performance metrics for a given budget. Power management encompasses many facets, such as power leakage, radio duty cycle, sampling rates, harvesting efficiency, energy intake prediction, etc.

The main objective of this workshop is to bring together international researchers with the aim of encouraging the exchange of ideas and experience and to find new research directions to follow. It will represent an international forum to give an overview of the most recent trends.

Submission Guidelines

Submitted papers should contain original material and should not be previously published or currently submitted for consideration elsewhere. Papers should have a length of 4-6 pages in IEEE double-column format (11pt font). All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed in a blind review process. We particularly encourage submission of position papers and preliminary work. Papers will be selected according to their relation to the workshop scope, novelty, and quality of presentation. Diversity of workshop topics will also be considered. Accepted and presented papers will be published in IEEE Xplore. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their contribution for publication in either a special issue of Ad Hoc & Sensor Wireless Networks (AHSWN) or the special issue on Green networking and computing of the International Journal of Business Data Communications and Networking (IJDBCN).

Posters and demos are submitted via one- to two-page proposals. Reviews will be based on relation to the workshop content. Authors of accepted workshop papers are encouraged to bring an additional poster or demo for intensive discussion of their work.

The necessary style files and submission information can be found under the author instructions.
